Tansilektomi Endikasyonları Ve Postoperatif Profloksi Tedavisi

SUMMARY Tonsillectomy indications and Postoperative prophylaxis 60 of 90 patients whom tonsillectomy indicated, were operated. Throat cul¬tures, WBC, ASO, sedimentation, protein electrophoresis and clinical evalu¬ation were established several times. Indications for tonsilectomy and postoperative prophylaxis have been rewieved. It was concluded that clini¬cal evaluation was much more valuable than laboratory findings for ton¬sillectomy indications. After tonsillectomy, it was observed that in the cultures which were taken from core of the tonsils, Benzatine penicillin was not enough to eradicate the bacteries. Ozet Tonsillektomi endikasyonu olan 90 hastanin 60'i opere edildi. Bogaz kul¬turleri, kan sayimi, ASO, sedimentasyon, protein elektroforezi ve klinik de¬gerlendirme birkac kez yapildi. Tonsillektomi icin endikasyonlar ve postoperatif proflaksi gozden gecirildi. Klinik degerlendirmenin, tonsillektomi endikasyonlari icin laboratuar bulgularindan cok daha degerli oldugu so¬nucuna varildi. Tonsillektomi sonrasinda, tonsil nuvesinden alinan kulturlerde, Benzatin penisilinin bakteri eradikasyonununda yeterli olmadigi gozlendi.
