Anti-seepage technique for sand-gravel dam with compound geomembrane inclined wall of Xixiayuan Counter Reservoir

The compound geomembrane is used as impervious material for the sand-gravel dam of the Xixiayuan Counter Reservoir.The performance indexes of compound geomembrane when it is used as impervious material in the sand-gravel dam were studied.The construction procedures,construction craft,method, and quality control during construction of the compound geomembrane for dam seepage control are introduced.In view of the advantages of good permeability,light quality and strong adaptability to uneven settlement,results of preliminary operation indicate that the application of geomembrane is successful,but monitoring is still required in future operation.
