Prolapso coroideo tras esclerectomía profunda no perforante

2013
One of the aims of non-penetrating deep sclerectomy (NPDS) with supraciliar implant is to improve uveoescleral outflow route. A complication of this technic is uveal prolapse in the scleral lake, and according to several authors, it would lead to a blockage of the alternative outflow route and, possibly, surgical failure. We report 3 cases of uveal prolapse detected by ultrasound biomicroscopy after NPDS, and we discuss its impact on uveoescleral route, the intrascleral bleb and surgery success.
