Analysis of Bistatic Scattering Using ADI High-Order Parabolic Equation

2018
Recently, the parabolic equation (PE) method has been widely applied to analyze electromagnetic scattering problems. In this paper, a superior PE version which uses the high-order polynomial approximation was developed to analyze three dimensional (3-D) objects. Compared with the conventional version, it shows a higher computational accuracy at wider scattering angles, and by introducing the alternating direction implicit (ADI) difference technology, the computational load for electrically large objects was effectively reduced. Numerical examples are given to illustrate the correctness and effectiveness of the method.
