Incisional hernia repair with retrorectus synthetic mesh and abdominoplasty— a video vignette

2017
Incisional hernia is a common complication following both stoma trephine [1] and laparotomy for colorectal resection [2]. Resultant pain, obstruction or impaired mobility are all indications for surgical repair, which is often performed by colorectal surgeons. An open approach is preferred to laparoscopic repair in the management of patients with previous complex abdominal surgery or if concomitant abdominoplasty is required.
