The effect of wormcast application on the yield and quality of greengrocery and the soil characteristics was studied by the pots trial.The results indicated that wormcast application could increase greengrocery growth and promote quality.The plant height,stem diameter and green leaves with wormcast were preceded than that with traditional fertilization.The greengrocery yield in wormcast treatment was 54.1% higher than that in no fertilization treatment while it was 10.2% lower than that in traditional fertilization.The content of vitamin C and soluble sugar of greengrocery were highest in the wormcast application treatment.Compared with the contrast,the soil available nitrogen,phosphorous and potassium of the wormcast treatment increased by 15.68 mg/kg,10.71 mg/kg and 24.30 mg/kg.Compared with the traditional fertilization,the soil available nitrogen,phosphorous and potassium decreased by 4.68 mg/kg,7.16 mg/kg,and 0.70 mg/kg.The addition of wormcast changed the soil bulk density,loosened the soil,and increased the water permeability to prevent the sealing of soil,improved the structure of soil.
