Concentration dependence of energy transfer between chromium (III) and neodymium (III) in lithium-lanthanum-phosphate glasses
1985
Abstract Energy-transfer efficiencies between Cr 3+ and Nd 3+ were measured in lithium-lanthanum-phosphate glasses doped by various concentrations of Cr 3+ and Nd 3+ . The transfer efficiencies obtained by decrease of donor lifetimes revealed different behavior from those calculated directly from the increase of Nd 3+ luminescence. Optimum conditions are determined for luminescence devices based on these materials.
