Structural studies of some androstane based prodrugs

Abstract Trestolone, methenolone and dihydroboldenone are synthetic anabolic-androgenic steroids and androstane derivatives. The structural features of trestolone acetate, methenolone acetate and dihydroboldenone cypionate have been described. The crystal structures were determined using X-ray single crystal diffraction technique. Steroid skeleton rings were investigated in terms of configurational analysis. Hirshfeld surfaces were generated to highlight the intermolecular interactions within the crystals and Coulomb-London-Pauli method was employed in the evaluation of total lattice energies and various components such as Coulombic, polarization, dispersion and repulsion.
