Synthesis, structural and thermal properties of double perovskite NdSrMn2O6 as potential anode materials for solid oxide fuel cells

2018
This work reports the synthesis, structural and thermal characterisation of the double perovskite NdSrMn2O6 pointedly establishing their potential as anode materials for solid oxide fuel cells. The specimen was synthesized by solid state reaction method in air at 1400°C for 12 hours. Structural characterization was performed by X-ray diffraction (XRD) and Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM). Rietveld analysis of the XRD data was evaluated by FullProf program and confirmed the single phase in orthorhombic symmetry (Pmmm space group). SEM images showed porous structures which should be suitable as anode materials for solid oxide fuel cells (SOFCs).
