CRITERIA FOR AN ATYPICAL MOLE
A mole with a macular component (flat with skin discolouring),
showing at least three out of the five of the following:
1. Ill-defined OR
2. Irregular border
3. Irregularly distributed pigmentation
4. Background of erythema (redness/inflammation)
5. Size greater than 5mm.
