Some comments on the Lovelace-Veneziano model of K and η three pion decays

Abstract We discuss the relation of the Lovelace-Veneziano model for K and η → 3 π to current algebra treatments. We discuss some ambiguities related to other diagrams expected by SU(3) and consider the problem of the rates with some surprising results.
