Velocity Measurement with Electrical Double-Sensing Devices in Two-Phase Flow

A computer-aided-data-processing method was developed to enable the velocity and liquid holdup measurements of liquid lumps having a wide range of velocities from forward and backward flow. Furthermore, an algorithm for the development of a relatively simple microprocessor was produced with aiming the measurement of forward flow. The features of these were discussed with comparing the conventional methods by means of cross-correlation, cross-spectrum-coherence and manual reading for determining transit time.
