Study on Collapse Performance of Subsea Insulation Pipe with Different Materials

2021
The subsea double layer insulation pipe plays a very important role in deepwater oil and gas field development. It is used to transport oil and gas from deepwater oil and gas fields. Collapse of the pipes under extreme circumstances is the main cause of deep sea pipeline damage. Once the local collapse occurs, the whole system will cease to operate. This paper aims to provide data support for the engineering application of subsea double layer insulation pipes through Riks Method by studying collapse resistance performance of double layer insulation pipes and analyzing sensibility of the collapse resistance capability of subsea composite pipe with different interlayer materials. It can be concluded that collapse resistance performance of cement is the best and insulation performance of polyurethane foam structure is the best.
