Reacción de Hipersensibilidad a la Ingestión de Acaros (Tyroglyphus farinae) Estudio anatomopatológico de un caso mortal.

2016
The pathologic findings are presented from a case, probably unique in the world literature, in which the ingestion of food contaminated with masive amounts of mites (Tyroglyphus farinae) brought about, apart from a severe intestinal irritation, widely distributed granulomatous lesions (liver, spleen, adrenals, thyroid, kidney, urinary pathways, etc.). These granulomas were interpreted, on morphologica.l grounds, as the expression of a hipersensitivity reaction to the digestion products from ingested mites. A brief discussion is added on the pathogenicity of ingested nutes a.nd on the histologic structure of allergic lesions of the granulomatous type.
