Animal data and human case reports and studies were analysed. English, French, German and Spanish publications were screened. Data published before the last update in 2003 are presented in the ‘What was known?’ sections, whereas more recent data are presented in the ‘What is new?’ sections. ‘Key points’, summarizing the main data, are provided for each drug.
