Experimental study on the response characteristics of the optical fiber gas holdup logging instrument

In order to investigate the response characteristics of optical fiber gas holdup sensor to oil-gas-water three-phase flow,the response laws of the sensor were systemically investigated by using multiphase calibration equipment at constant oil content and different water contents.The results show that the gas holdup increases while increasing the contents of gas when the content of oil is 5 m3/d and the contents of gas are less than 10 m3/d,however,the degree of linearity between gas holdup and gas content is low.It is also found that the degree of linearity increase between gas holdup and gas content is relatively high when the content of gas is in the range of 10 to 35 m3/d.
