STRATIFICATION OF WATER PROPERTIES ALONG THE LOUISIANA COAST AND ITS INFLUENCE ON CATHODIC PROTECTION SYSTEMS

1975
The results of water property surveys at various offshore platform locations along the Louisiana coast made simultaneous to diver assisted potential surveys are discussed. The stratification of water properties was found to be related to the corrosion history of the platforms and the variation in structure potential found as a function of depth and time of year. Survey equipment and the procedures which were followed are described, with a detailed discussion of the results achieved.
