Several elementary and important questions about the clinical utility of the nuchal transluŽ . cency NT measurement remain unanswered w x 1]3 . In this prospective study, we observed the progress or resolution of NT at 1]2 week intervals in abnormal NT cases in order to elucidate the association between several variables and fetal abnormalities. NT was defined as being abnormal if it measured larger than q2.0 S.D. from the gestational-specific mean. We classified the cases of abnormal NT into three groups.
