Inestabilidad tectonica relacionada con el desarrollo de la cuenca de antepais paleozoica de los Andes centrales de Bolivia

1996
I The Cordilleran cycle of Bolivia (Silurian-early Carboniferous) corresponds to the sedimentary filling of a foreland basin adjacent to a fold-thrust belt located to the west and south of the basin and related with east-dipping oblique subduction. Tectonic piling in the deformational front was the probable cause for the increased subsidence, sediment supply and tectonic instability which facilitated sediment gravity flows, as well as for the development of reliefs leading to local glaciation. 1
