Application of mosapride combined with dimethicone in bowel preparation before colonoscopy in patients with chronic constipation

2019
Objective To observe the effect of gastrointestinal motility drug mosapride combined with dimethicone in the process of bowel preparation before electronic colonoscopy in patients with chronic constipation. Methods A total of 300 patients with chronic constipation who underwent electron fiber colonoscopy in Huai′an Hospital Affiliated to Xuzhou Medical University were enrolled in the study. All the patients were divided into group A(compound polyethylene glycol electrolyte combined with dimethicone, n=150)group and group B(oral mosapride on the basis of group A, n=150)using random number table method. The Boston Bowel Preparation Scale(BBPS)was used to score the quality of the bowel preparation, the intestinal bubble scale was used to estimate the number of bubbles in the intestine, and the patient′s bowel preparation time, time to enter the mirror and time to retreat, adverse reactions, and intestinal diseases detection situation were recorded. Results The number of patients who completed the colonoscopy was 143 in group A and 146 in group B. The proportion of BBPS greater than 6 in group B was significantly higher than that in group A(χ2=5.141, P<0.05). The proportion of gradeⅠandⅡin the evaluation of intestinal foam in group B was significantly higher than that in group A(χ2=5.851, P<0.05). The time of bowel preparation, the incidence of adverse reactions and the detection of intestinal lesions in group B were also significantly better than those in group A(P<0.05). Conclusion As a bowel preparation drug, mosapride combined with dimethicone can significantly improve the intestinal cleansing quality of patients with chronic constipation and significantly reduce the generation of bubbles in the intestinal cavity, and also shorten the bowel preparation time, reduce the incidence of adverse reactions, and improve the detection rate of intestinal lesions.
