Secondary metabolites are a priceless source to treat various pharmacological ailments. Shrub Grewia abutilifolia is belonging to the family Tiliaceae, additionally investigated for its diverse medicinal and nutritional benefits. It is a traditional source of vitamins and minerals. Grewia is reported for its good antioxidant potential, which is applied to protect skin from UV rays. The primary objective of this analysis is to find out the in-vitro sunscreen effect of Grewia abutilifolia with phytochemical evidence of sun protective activity Chemical agents used to protect skin from the sun have certain limitations with lots of toxic side effects on human beings as well as on the environment. The Phytochemical, Physicochemical, and Sun protective effects of the hydroalcoholic, ethyl acetate and methanolic extracts were examined. According to the study, the methanolic leaf extract had the highest total phenolic content, total alkaloid content, total flavonoid content, and SPF value, including measurements: 99.20 0.12, 47.661.527, 96.02, and 14.50.01 for total phenolic content, total alkaloid content, total flavonoid content, and SPF value respectively.
