Hematoma espontâneo do esófago - caso clínico Spontaneous haematoma of the oesophagus - a clinical case
2006
Oesophageal haematoma is a rare condition, which has been associated with a rapid increase of intra-oesophageal pressure or to an abnormal swallowing mechanism, particularly in the presence of coagulation disorders. We report a case of a patient who presented with epigastric pain and haematemesis, in whom oesophagoscopy revealed an oesophageal haematoma associated with a mucosal laceration. A review of Spontaneous Intramural Haematoma of the oesophagus is presented.
