Pemberdayaan Masyarakat dalam Pencegahan dan Pengendalian Demam Berdarah Dengue di Tingkat Keluarga

2021
The incidence of Dengue Hemorrhagic Fever (DHF) in Indonesia from 2014 to 2019 continues to increase. The number of dengue cases in 2019 was 13,683 people with a Case Fatality Rate (CFR) of 0.92. The Special Region of Yogyakarta is an endemic area for dengue fever, with the highest incidence of dengue fever in the Bantul Regency from 2019 - 2020. DHF cases in Banguntapan in 2019 were in the range of 51-75 patients. Plumbon is one of the hamlets in Banguntapan Village with a larva-free rate which is still far from the target (≥95%). Based on the larval inspection that has been carried out in Plumbon Hamlet, the results of the larvae-free rate (ABJ) are 59%. One of the community-based surveillance activities in controlling dengue fever is the One House One jumantik (observe larva) (G1R1J) program. Community participation is necessary to have community-based surveillance training to increase knowledge and control in vector control. This program aims to conduct community empowerment training to optimize G1R1J to prevent the transmission of dengue disease. The method in this service is counseling using educational videos on larva monitoring. The practice of supervision, control, and assistance in vector control is carried out with the community. The activity program was carried out with partners (cadres and community) Plumbon District, Banguntapan Bantul. The training was carried out by involving four students from the public health study program. This activity results in an increase in community interaction in the implementation of monitoring the dengue vector. There is an increase in the prevention of transmission of dengue fever.
