Optimal configuration for combined cooling, heating, and power system with waste heat recovery of domestic hot water

2019
Combined cooling, heating, and power (CCHP) systems can improve energy efficiency and renewable energy consumption rate. This paper designs a new type of CCHP system containing domestic hot water waste heat recovery (CCHP-DHR) for college students’ dormitory, staff quarters and hotels with large and stable sewage flow. The waste heat of the domestic hot water is extracted by the waste heat recovery device to obtain domestic hot water, and the cascade utilization of energy is further realized. Taking a university in Jinan as an example, the system operation situation is analyzed. The results show that the annual energy saving rate of the new type of CCHP system after optimization design can reach 25.33%, the annual carbon dioxide emission reduction rate can reach 44.25% and the cost saving rate can reach 18.78%, which fully reflects the advantages of the joint supply system in energy saving and emission reduction and cost reduction.
