Cambios en el manejo de la vía aérea en eventos no traumáticos durante la reanimación cardiopulmonar

2007
The purpose of assisted ventilation during cardiopulmonary resuscitation is directed to deliver 02 to the lungs and tissues, continuosly, in a fashion near to the normal volume and ratio, avoiding the hipercarbia. During the first minutes of cardiac arrest the priority is to guarantee an effective cardiac compression, stopping as less as possible the patient ventilation. In cases of advanced life support the placement of several devices for maintaining the airway, cannot be associated with delays and interruption of cardiac massage.
