Geomorphological Map of the Prahova Subcarpathians (Romania)

The aim of the map presented is to illustrate landforms in the study area and describe their relationship to past and active morphodynamic processes, operating at different intensities and over different timescales. The map can be used in compiling different thematic maps, such as those for land vulnerability, and geomorphical hazards. The map was produced from detailed field surveys based upon 1:25,000 topographic maps, GPS surveys, aerial-photo interpretation, and the description of different morphometric parameters. The map legend has been designed according to morphogenetic criteria with landforms and processes grouped taking into account their main genetic agent.
