Diagnosis of retroperitoneal air using ultrasound and radiology in duodenal rupture after blunt abdominal trauma

: A case of retroperitoneal duodenal rupture after a blunt abdominal trauma in a 16 year old boy is presented. Conventional x-ray examination and ultrasound examination made an early diagnosis possible. The diagnostic possibilities, especially concerning new techniques, are discussed.
