Research on reactive brilliant red X-3B treatment by O_3/FeSO_4

Reactive brilliant red X-3B containing wastewater was treated by the synergetic effect of O3 and FeSO4,the results showed that,the removal rates of colority and CODCr by the said combined process were both higher than that by the independent effect of the two process,and the improving rate of CODCr removal were 17.67% and 27.63% respectively;the optimal treatment effect was obtained under the condition that,the mass concentration of dyeing wastewater was 1 g / L,the dosage of ferrous sulphate was 4 g / L,the aeration quantity of ozone was 10 g / h,the aeration time was 8 min,the pH value was 9.0,and the reaction temperature was 40 ℃,the removal rates of colority and CODCr reached 99.34% and 81.39% respectively,the reaction mechanism was in according with the first order kinetic model.
