Installation of some recent plate girder composite bridges

There is an increasing number of plate girder composite bridges in the UK in recent years. Optimising benefit and cost of craneage, together with calculation of adequate provisions for temporary stability are the basic criteria for safe and economic installations and this article illustrates a number of recent examples.
