Effect of dental implant abutment connections on periodontal tissues

2011
The esthetic quality of the implant restoration depends on the morphology of the edentulous crest. The preservation or regeneration of interproximal papillae is critical to the aesthetic success of single implant-supported crowns. Increasing the width of keratinized gingiva surrounding a tooth or an implant is a basic element of periodontal soft-tissue care, especially for the prevention of infection. In this study, we try to investigate the esthetic effects of internal and external hexagon dental implant abutment connection systems Because Few studies have investigated the relationship between the implant/abutment device and the soft tissues.
