Thoracic outlet syndtome (TOS) is a controversial topic in surgery. TOS is difficult to diagnose using current clinical, radiological or neurophysiological criteria. The diagnosis is almost always based on positional tests of the upper limb that aim to reproduce the patient’s symptoms. A positional compression of the neurovascular structures during these tests is a common phenomenon in normal subjects [11].
