The Perception Differences of Urban Residents to the Elements of Urban Sustainable Development

With the purpose of rationalizing the internal system of urban planning and constructing accurate guidance system,this study focuses on the perception differences of urban residents to the elements of urban sustainable development.On the basis of analyzing the value and request of urban sustainable development,this study finds 7 elements important to the urban sustainable development by factor analysis.These factors included urban economic,urban environment,the quality of urban life,urban institutional order,urban education and medical,urban transport and urban resources,among of them the perception of most importance of urban residents are urban environment,urban resources,urban institutional order,urban education and medical.On the one hand,the perception of urban residents varied on urban economic,the quality of urban life,urban institutional order,urban education and medical,and on the other hand,the perception of urban residents on urban environment, urban resources and urban transport are little difference.Finally,this study shows a huge gap on the perception of urban sustainable development between planner and anti-planners.
