Graft options for ACL reconstructive surgery

Abstract Reconstruction of the anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) of the knee is a very common surgical procedure. There are various options available when deciding what potential tissue can be used as graft material for reconstructing an ACL. This article details the pros and cons of the various different graft types in use in contemporary practice and outlines the author's personal opinions regarding the current gold standard for an ideal ACL graft.
