A Computerized File for Anatomo-Pathological Data as Informative Base for a Systematic Registration of Malignant Tumours

1984
We have utilized a computerized file of anatomo-pathological medical reports as data base for a systematic registration of malignant tumours. The Institute of Anatomy and Pathological Histology of the University of Trieste (where there is a computerized file for medical reports) is the only one in the province of Trieste as far as the systematic filing of malignant tumours is concerned, being our many source of anatomo-pathological data. Anatomo-pathological registration of tumours are based essentially on medical reports relating to positive cytological and histological tests and autopsies for malignant tumours (1).
