Preliminary result of 4 years of conservative management Juvenile Idiopathic Scoliosis, case report.

2013
Background Based on Scoliosis Research Society guidelines, individuals with JIS over 50 degrees Cobb are usually treated surgically. The JIS surgery option in Ottawa, Canada, is the growingrod surgery, extended every 6 months until end of growth. Multiple surgery complication rate is high (57%) in this age group. On the other hand, there is a lack of evidence for the effectiveness of conservative management of JIS.
