Electrical conduction through DNA molecules

The first direct experimental evidence for effective charge transport through individual DNA molecules will be discussed. Visualization of the DNA molecules as well as mechanical and electrical manipulations is carried out in the Low Energy Electron Point Source Microscope whose principle of operation will be illustrated.
