Kan üre ve/veya kreatinini uterin prolapsus için bir biokimyasal belirteç olabilir mi?

2012
Results: In the vaginal hysterectomy group; 30 (60 %), 17 (34 %), and 3 (6 %) cases out of 50 women had stage II, stage III and stage IV uterine prolapse, respectively whereas in the abdominal hysterectomy group, 3 (6 %) and 48 (94 %) cases out of 51 women had stage 0 and I uterine prolapse, respectively. There was no statistically significant difference between vaginal and abdominal hysterectomy groups in terms of preoperative blood urea levels (p=0.168, p>0.05), however there was a statistically significant difference between vaginal and abdominal hysterectomy groups in terms of preoperative blood creatinine levels (p=0.042, p<0.05). In the receiver operator ROC curve analysis for creatinine, the cut-off value which had the highest sensitivity and specifity and lowest false positive predictivity was found to be 1 mg/dl. Conclusion: A postmenopausal woman who had a blood creatinine level higher than 1 mg/dl at random biochemical testing should be evaluated regarding uterine prolapse.
