Vaginal microecological balance and vulvovaginal candidosis.

2009
Objective To investigate the relation between vaginal microecological balance and vulvovaginal candidosis(VVC).Method Counting of vaginal lactobacilli was performed in women aged 17~58 diagnosed as VVC during April 2007~March 2008.The patients were then divided randomly into Group A(205) and B(198) and treated with microecological and traditional therapies respectively. The microecological status and recurrence of VVC were observed. Results The counting of lactobacilli showed that "1+" accounted for 17%(35/205) in group A vs.52%(104/198) in group B,"≥2+" accounted for 72%(148/205) in group A vs.20%(40/198) in group B,while "zero" accounted for 11%(22/205) in group A vs.27%(54/198) in group B.There were significant differences in the countings of lactobacilli and recurrence rates between the two groups(P0.05).Conclusion Vaginal microecological balance is closely related to VVC.Recurrence rate of VVC can be significantly reduced and therapeutic effect be improved by regulating the vaginal microecologica balance.
