: Emergency planning strategies can suffer from poor communication, especially between agencies. A 'desktop' exercise in north Yorkshire brought together 50 staff from a range of organisations to deal with a multi-disaster scenario. Better relationships have led to the reworking of the emergency plan and ongoing formal and informal dialogue.
