Thispaperproposes a novelpoleexpansion ofthegeneralized impedance matrixrepresentation for planar waveguide junctions. Proceeding inthis way,wehave obtained a veryefficient algorithm fortheaccurate wide- bandmodelling ofsuchjunctions, since themostexpensive computations areperformed outside thefrequency loop. For verification purposes, several practical examples areshown inordertoprovethenumerical efficiency andaccuracy provided bythis newtechnique.
