CLOMIPHENE CITRATE IN INFERTILITY

Clomiphene citrate (CC) is a known drug for ovulation induction having both estrogenic agonist and antagonistic actions. It acts by increasing the frequency of pulsatile GnRH leading to rise in pituitary gonadotrophins and hence ovarian follicular activity. With this review article, we aim to study the pharmacology, mechanism of action, indications for CC treatment, to study treatment regimens, and combination modality for CC failed cases, to review the results, side effects, and risks of CC treatment.
