Effects of Reactive Diluents on the Rheology of Unsaturated Polyester

The rheology of an unsaturated polyester resin diluted with different reactive diluents was studied using a plate cone rheometer The resin itself was found to be a pseudo plastic fluid Styrene and tirethylene glycol divinyl ether(DVE 3) had high dilution effect on UPE System diluted with DVE 3 and 1,6 hexanediol diacrylate showed thixotropy property and the fomer had more pronounced effect
