Helping women understand menopause

When Mrs Frances, age 53, came to the clinic for a routine BP and weight check, she was tired and irritable. Asked about her sleeping pattern, Mrs Frances said that she was experiencing uncomfortable night sweats and interrupted sleep. She was also depressed, suffering with aching joints and felt little purpose in life now that her children had grownup and left home. Clearly, Mrs Frances was ‘menopausal’!
