“Barred” mitral valve

A 74-year-old man with severe aortic valve stenosis associated with ascending aortic aneurysm, moderate mitral valve regurgitation (type I according to Carpentier’s classification), and three-vessel disease underwent combined aortic valve and ascending aortic replacement, mitral valve pericardial band anuloplasty and triple coronary artery bypass grafting.
