The invention discloses a method and device for air conditioner protection against a lack of fluorine. The method for air conditioner protection against a lack of fluorine comprises the steps that a first temperature difference between the temperature of the indoor environment where an air conditioner is located and the first evaporator tube temperature of an air conditioner evaporator is detected, wherein the first evaporator tube temperature is the temperature of an evaporator tube, existing at a first moment, of the evaporator; whether the first temperature difference meets a first preset condition is judged; the second temperature difference between the first evaporator tube temperature and the second evaporator tube temperature of the air conditioner evaporator is detected, wherein the second evaporator tube temperature is the temperature of the evaporator tube, existing at the second moment, of the air conditioner evaporator; whether the second temperature difference meets a second preset condition is judged; if it is judged out that the first temperature difference meets the first preset condition and the second temperature difference meets the second preset condition, the air conditioner is controlled to conduct protection against a lack of fluorine. By the adoption of the method and device for air conditioner protection against a lack of fluorine, the problem that in the relevant technologies, excessively high temperature of a compressor winding is prone to generation is solved.
