Observation on Acute Respiratory Distress Syndrom with Confocal Laser Scanning Microscopy in Lung Tissue of the Rat

To observe and show directly the pathologic variety ( a layer transparent membrane of protein in the alveolus) of the typical acute respiratory distress syndrom (ARDS), The animal model of ARDS was built by paraqual treating poisoned rat. And pathological tissue of the lung was got and cut into slices. After labeling with FITC-IgM+IgG (Goat Anti Rat), the slices of pathological tissue were observed by confocal laser scanning microscope (CLSM). The pathologic variety could be showed by the CLSM images of different level of optical section. This result showed that CLSM could be clearer observation than the optical microscope for study of the different level of structure in pathological tissue of the lung . The characteristic of the pathologic variety of the lung in ARDS is directly and visually displayed by the images of CLSM. The result will help that we understand structure trait of the pathologic variety of the lung in ARDS.
