Design of a Next Generation High-Energy Gamma-ray telescope

2002
The Next Generation High-Energy Gamma-ray (NGHEG) mission is a recommended priority for a new mission after GLAST. One of the science goals of the NGHEG mission, mapping our Galaxy, clouds, supernova remnants, and nearby galaxies for cosmic ray sources at arcminute resolution, places stringent requirements on the design of the track imager. We examine the design requirements of a track imager for a gamma-ray telescope capable of arc-minute imaging.
