Method and apparatus for repairing cable

The application discloses a method and apparatus for repairing a cable. The method comprises: a position of a damaged position of a damaged cable in an electric power tunnel is obtained; according to the position in the electric power tunnel, positions of target tunnel inspection wells are determined, wherein the target tunnel inspection wells are at least two of a plurality of inspection wells at distances, being a preset distance, to the electric power tunnel; the damaged cable is searched and checked in the target tunnel inspection wells, thereby repairing the searched cable. Therefore, a technical problems that the cable can not be repaired rapidly in the prior art can be solved.
