Effects of Shanggan Granule on the Lung Index and TNF-α in Mice with Viral Upper Respiratory Tract Infection

Objective: To observe the antiviral and immune adjusting effects of Shanggan Granule in mice with viral infection along upper respiratory tract.Methods: ICR mice were randomly divided into normal group,model group,antiviral oral liquid group,ribavirin group,Shanggan Granule higher-dose group,Shanggan Granule medium-dose group and Shanggan Granule lower-dose group.After influenza A virus(A/PR8/34) venom intranasal infection and treatment,lung index and TNF-α were observed.Results: Compared with the model group,the degree of lung index in three Shanggan Granule groups and TNF-α in Shanggan Granule higher-dose group were reduced significantly(P0.05).Conclusion: Shanggan Granule can reduce lung index and serum TNF-α in mice with viral upper respiratory tract infection,and plays an important role in virus resistance and immune adjustment.
