Effect of hypophysectomy on neutrophilopoiesis

1980
: The bone marrow of hypophysectomized rats exposed to irradiation with a dose of 400 C/kg or 6-hour immobilization has been studied. It has been found that hypophysectomy itself does not affect neutrophilopoiesis since its insufficiency is revealed only on the body exposure to additional loadings (irradiation or immobilization). This was manifested in the suppression of postradiative regeneration of neutrophilopoiesis and in the lack of granulocytopoiesis activation over a period of 24-48 h after the commencement of 6-hour immobilization.
